Can’t Move While using a Stratagem in Helldivers 2 on PC? There is an easy fix!
Fellow soldiers of Democracy, there is a little-known threat to our cause plaguing thousands of patriots across the myriad fronts of our war against the alien scourge. For Helldivers 2 players on PC who are using gamepads, there is currently a glitch that is preventing many players from being able to move and call in stratagems at the same time.
This can be a devastating problem. This problem seems to affect players using Xbox controllers on the PC version of the game. Fortunately, there is a very easy fix. All you have to do is the following.
- Go into Options
- Scroll over to Controller
- Click Change Bindings
- Scroll down to Stratagem and change “Up” from the D-Pad up button to the Analog Stick
- Scroll up to Movement and change that to the Analog Stick (It may be set there already)
- Now go back down to Stratgems and change “Up” back to its original D-Pad up configuration
After following these simple steps, your Helldivers should be free to move around while you input your stratagem codes just like players with a PlayStation 5 controller. Here is a video below to show you a quick rundown of how to fix this problem.
For Keyboard and mouse users this is also a problem but there answer to this one is to simply assign the stratagem keys to another area of your keyboard. I use the number pad for example.
